Excellent Portal User Setup (without Payroll module)

When Excellent Portal has been activated for your company, you must review the user configuration and assign the necessary permissions.
If your company uses the Payroll module follow the guide HERE.

If you dont use Payroll module in Excellent Books, follow this guide below.


1. ACCESS RIGHTS

The functionality available to a user in Excellent Portal depends on their access group. You can find it in module System > Settings > “Access Groups”.

Every Portal user must have at least one permission that allows them to log in to the Portal. This can be done in one of the next ways:

A) Add the access group EPADM to the user.
– this gives the user full Excellent Portal administrator rights.

B) Update an existing access group.
– add the following row to the access rights matrix:
Type: “Action” > Action: “Excellent Portal – Administrator” > Level: “Full”.

C) Create a new access group.
– add the following row to the access rights matrix:
Type: “Action” > Action: “Excellent Portal – Administrator” > Level: “Full”;
– if needed, add permissions in the same group for the required modules and registers.

Note: In the access rights matrix there must always be at least one row “Excellent Portal – Administrator” with Level “Full”. This row must not be deleted or downgraded; otherwise, it will not be possible to access the Portal correctly.

2. ISIKU VÕI GLOBAALSE KASUTAJA SEADISTAMINE

In Excellent Booksis thee are two types of users: Global users and Persons.

To allow a user to access Excellent Portal, you must add the required data and a User Group to their Person or Global User card. Check whether the user who will use Excellent Portal is registered in Excellent Books as a Global User or as a Person.


2.1. Configuring a Global User for Portal

2.1.1. Choose in Excellent Books module Technics > Registers > “Global Users“. If there is no global user, then continue from point no “2.2. Configuring a Person for Portal” and check if user is registered as Person.

2.1.2. Locate your user and complete all mandatory fields on the user card:

  • Name

  • Personal ID

  • Access Groups: ADMIN,EPADM

  • StandardID

Note: If the company where Excellent Portal was activated is listed in the table at the bottom of the card, you must add the EPADM access group in the “Access Groups” column for that row.


2.2. Configuring a Person for Portal

Isiku kaarti pead täiendama ainult juhul, kui Globaalse kasutaja kaarti ei olnud seadistatud.

2.2.1. Select module System > Registers > Persons.

2.2.2. Locate your user and complete all mandatory fields on the user card:

  • Name

  • Personal ID

  • Access Groups: ADMIN,EPADM

  • StandardID


3. PORTALI KASUTAJAKS REGISTREERIMINE

3.1. Open your mailbox and find the e-mail informing you that Excellent Portal has been activated.

3.2. Click the “Excellent Portal” button in the e-mail – this will open the Excellent Portal web environment.

3.3. Click Register and Enter the e-mail address that is specified in the field “Login e-mail” on the Person or Global User card in Excellent Books.

3.4. Click Create.
A message will appear: “Email with instructions have been sent to your email”.
If the message “User with such Email was not found” appears, check the settings on the Person or Global User card in Excellent Books. If everything has been configured according to the instructions and the problem persists, please contact info@excellent.ee.

3.5. An e-mail will be sent to the entered address to activate the user. Click the “Activate User” button in the e-mail – this will open a web page where the user must set a password.

3.6. If the password is created successfully, the user will be logged in to Excellent Portal. The user must use this e-mail address and password for all future logins.

If you want to access Excellent Portal from another device, enter portal.excellent.ee in your browser’s address bar. The login page will open – enter your e-mail and password and click “Log in”.
